Official work: design, narrative & flavor text
A card only has so much room. The world behind it has to reach further. My official work on Wonders includes game design, worldbuilding, and flavor text: thinking about how people live, what their histories cost them, and what a few lines can make a player imagine.
In The Weight of World Building, I discuss contributing to the world bible and why the histories, cultures, and lives behind a setting matter—even when a player never sees all of that work directly.
